ввічливість та взаємодопомогу.

Hello, everybody!
We are happy to welcome you
all to our English party. We are pleased to meet the teachers and guests.
- We have three teams, representing the fifth and two
sixth forms. They are to pass successfully a number of tasks. Then according to
their results we will define the winner, that’s the best and the smartest team.
To cope with this task they are to be active and attentive.
-Veni, vidi, vici. Every intellectual person should
know these words of wisdom. Guy Julius Ceaser once said them. He used them in
order to inform Rome
about his victory. If we translate Latin words into English it will sound like
“Came, saw and won”.
-Certainly, we are not Ceasers, but everyone has his
own Rubicon to cross. And today we’ll try to do it. Be enthusiastic, initiative
and high-minded and you will cross your Rubicon. Good luck!

-Now let’s have a look at our participants – each team
is supposed to have their particular features – I mean the name and the motto.
So, let’s get acquainted with them.

Riddles
The
first task is to answer the questions. You will get one score for each correct
answer.
1. What question can you never answer “Yes”? (are you
sleeping?)
2. In what month do children
talk the least? (in February)
3. It always goes but never
leaves its place. (a clock)
4. What is the difference
between here and there? (in letter “t”)
5. What is that above your
head and under your cap? (your hair)
6. My father’s son is not my

celebrated? (on the 31th of October)
8.What do you do if you have a
toothache? (suffer)

Game “Letters”
There live twin-letters in the
rooms of the house. There is one letter unlike others in every room. Find this letter and strike it out.

Game “My father
likes”
The first thinks of a word
beginning with the letter A and says “My father likes apples”. The other
players think of the other words beginning with the rest letters of the
alphabet. Every team has 10 seconds to think and consult the players.
3.
Game “Blackboard
bingo”
There are 12 words written on
the blackboard. The players write 4 of them into their copy-books. The teacher
reads the words in any order she likes and the children strike them out. If the
pupil has striken out 4 words he says “Bingo” and becomes a winner.
Words: forest, travelling,
camp, tents, sea, holidays, countryside, games, free time, sun, music, friends.

Game “Jumbled
letters”
In all the words written on
your papers letters changed their places. Your task is to put the letters in
order to get the words on the theme “School”.

Game “I know
English”
Dear players, you
have two minutes to write as many words as you can on the theme “Family”.phrase

In the phrase the players are
to find a word but this word is written in a specific way when the beginning of
the word which must be guessed is in one word and the end is in the following
one. A player who names the word the first brings a point to his team.

tasks and it’s time to announce the winner. According to the scores and the decision
of the jury we can congratulate the winners with the victory and present them
